Our Nutrition for Life centre is located at 22 Pine Avenue, Newstead in Launceston, Tasmania. (entry via 48 Belhaven Crescent).
We also offer consultations via our online Skype or Zoom service.

Dietitians apply the art and science of human nutrition to help people understand the relationship between food and health and make dietary choices to attain and maintain health, and to prevent and treat illness and disease.

In Australia, Dietitians and Nutritionists are professionals who aim to assist in a person’s journey to reaching optimal health through food and nutrition.
A nutritionist will usually have completed a tertiary qualification in any number of fields, including nutrition, food science and public health.
Dietitians are tertiary qualified in food, nutrition and dietetics. Qualified Dietitians have undertaken a course of study that has included supervised and assessed professional practice in public health nutrition, medical nutrition therapy and food service management.
Dietitians are also qualified to work in private clinical practice, hospitals and the medical nutrition industry. They provide expert nutrition advice for people of all ages and prescribe dietary treatments for many chronic conditions.
Dietitians are also registered for Medicare rebates.
Yes, we offer a service via Skype or Zoom all over Australia to clients who have access to this service.
CONSULTATIONS & REFERRALS
You may cancel or reschedule your booking at no charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled consultation.
You must phone our centre on (03) 6301 9096 to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
If you cancel or reschedule your booking within 24 hours of your scheduled consultation, you will be charged 50% of the scheduled service price.
If you do not attend your scheduled consultation, you will be charged the 100% of the scheduled service price.
Cancellation fees will be sent to the address provided and payment is due within seven days.
No – You do not need a doctor referral to book an initial consultation.
All clients are required to complete an initial consultation when they join Nutrition for Life.
During your initial consultation we will:
- Discuss your health objectives and requirements.
- Discuss how a Lower Carbohydrate and Healthy natural Fat (LCHF) way of living can help you reach your full health potential.
- Provide personalised nutritional advice based on your individual requirements.
- Discuss how we can support you to achieve your health and nutrition goals.
Where required, we will communicate and work with your General Practitioner and other health care providers to ensure we take a collaborative and holistic approach to your health care and management.
