This whole baked cabbage recipe makes for a lovely side dish to accompany any form of protein. It is packed with flavour and nutrients!

 1 medium cabbage
 2 tbsp apple cider vinegarBuy Now

 2 rashers bacon, chopped
 2 tbsp thyme leaves
 1 tsp paprika
 5 cloves garlic, chopped
 ½ cup dry white wine

Pre-heat over to 160°C.

Rub cabbage with butter and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Sauté bacon and onion in a pan in the coconut oil. Once caramelised add thyme leaves, garlic and paprika, then add white wine and simmer until reduced.

Add chicken broth and apple cider vinegar to a deep baking dish, add the cabbage and top with the onion and bacon mixture.

Cover with foil, and bake for 3.5 hours (removing the foil for the last ½ hour).
